Barbara Mayr

Bio

Barbara Mayr is a post-doctoral researcher at the Ludwig Boltzmann Institute for Digital Health and Prevention in Salzburg. At the University of Applied Sciences Salzburg, she finished her bachelor’s degree as a biomedical scientist and has over ten years of work experience in cardiorespiratory exercise testing.
She earned her master’s degree and her PhD in Biology from the Paris Lodron University Salzburg with a research focus on molecular adaptions towards exercise in healthy and cardiovascular disease patients.

At the LBI, Barbara was involved in the completed study Connect2Move. Currently, she uses “aktivplan” within a collaborative clinical study with the Sports Medicine Department Salzburg, analyzing molecular adaption towards exercise in previously sedentary participants. Further, she supports clinical studies to evaluate new digital health interventions.
