Bio

Duosi Dai is currently a second-year master’s student in Interactive Media Technology at KTH Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm, Sweden. With a strong foundation from her bachelor’s degree in Information and Communication Technology, specializing in the Internet of Things and wireless communications, Duosi has developed a broad skill set, including both software development and hardware design. Starting with her Master’s degree at KTH in Sweden, the focus of her studies shifted further towards skills and knowledge in designing, developing and evaluating interactive products and media, ranging from mobile user experience and user interface design to web application development, game design and physical interaction.

During her master’s studies, she was particularly attracted by the rapid development of Large Language Models and Generative AI, which led her to undertake projects integrating these AI programs to explore their great potential for interactive applications. This exploration deepened her interest in AI and led her to define the research direction of her Master’s thesis, which is the design of integrated AI systems for specific user situations.

Since January 2025, Duosi has been accepted as a Erasmus trainee in LBI-DHP to work on her master thesis. This work contributes to the INSIGHT project. The mentor for this master thesis project is Pavithren V S Pakianathan and the supervisor is Jan David Smeddinck. Her work focuses on leveraging Large Language Models (LLMs) to improve the acceptance of wearable tracking technologies among older adults. This master work has greatly complements her goals of understanding and applying AI effectively in real-world scenarios. This trainee experience is expected to further enhance her skills and insights in both the AI and HCI fields.
