Bio
Rania Islambouli is a postdoctoral researcher at the Ludwig Boltzmann Institute for Digital Health and Prevention. Her research focuses on leveraging AI, HCI and data-driven methods to develop interventions that drive behavioral change and improve health outcomes. She earned her PhD in computer science from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Lausanne (EPFL) in 2024, where she worked on enhancing digital well-being through designing, implementing and testing adaptive intelligent interventions and analyzing online user behavior. Rania also explores innovative approaches in learning and education, designing interventions that foster engagement in digital environments. Her expertise includes designing recommendation systems, processing real-time health data and applying predictive modeling and analysis to generate insights that inform personalized health strategies.
