Project DIGI:GREEN kicked off
Digital & Green Prevention and Rehabilitation
With the kickoff event in February 2023, the new prevention and rehabilitation research project “DIGI:GREEN – Digital & Green Prevention and Rehabilitation” started with the participation of the Ludwig Boltzmann Institute for Digital Health and Prevention (LBI-DHP), which focuses on innovative prevention and rehabilitation concepts in combination with natural health resources and digital health applications. The project will take place in the alpine regions of Gasteiner Tal and Hohe Tauern National Park and will integrate digital elements in the form of mobile apps and interactive VR exergames (training with a playful context).
A total of three teams from the Institute of Ecomedicine at Paracelsus Medical Private University (PMU – project coordinator), the University Institute for Preventive and Rehabilitative Sports Medicine (UIS) and the LBI-DHP in Salzburg have set themselves the goal of establishing new digital and nature-based prevention and rehabilitation models.
The project is funded by the Wissenschafts-/Innovationsstrategie WISS 2025, Forschung und technologische Entwicklung (FTE) of the federal state of Salzburg.
