LBI-DHP is leading the new FFG-funded flagship project Prehab2Rehab, which systematically connects prehabilitation and rehabilitation through digital technologies. The goal is to optimize treatment pathways for planned surgeries and improve outcomes using telehealth, apps, and sensors.

The project focuses on three use cases – knee replacement, visceral surgery, and cardiac surgery – aiming to reduce complications, shorten hospital stays, and support sustainable lifestyle changes.

Prehab2Rehab brings together a strong interdisciplinary consortium from research and practice and is funded by the Austrian Research Promotion Agency (FFG).
